Women's golf match cancelled due to bad weather

The Whitworth women’s golf team faced a delay to the start of their spring season as their match in Kennewick, Wash. against the Whitman was cancelled due to cold temperatures and snow.

The women closed the fall portion of their season with a fourth place finish at the NWC Fall Classic in Oregon City, Ore. and have been preparing for the spring season during the winter.

With snow and inclement golf weather in Spokane, the women have not had many outdoor practices but were able to get on a course Friday evening before the match was cancelled at Canon Lakes Golf Course to prepare for the competition, sophomore Chelsea Bayley said.

The Pirates will continue their season at the UPS Invitational, March 8 in Tacoma, Wash.
